Residential Treatment Center
Our Goals
Our goal is to provide
a "reclaiming environment" that teaches adolescents the value of autonomy,
self-discipline, belonging and caring for others. The Pavilion understands
that obedience to rules while a resident in the program does not necessarily
signify successful treatment. The true test of a successful treatment
program is how the adolescent lives when (s)he returns to their community,
school and family. Step down planning will begin at admission through
collaborative case management efforts with community providers.
Population Served
Youths 12 to 17 years
of age will be considered for admission into the treatment center. The
Pavilion recognizes that many of the adolescents referred may be suffering
from childhood traumas and may have difficulty developing healthy relationships.
Behaviors might range from rageful aggression to passive withdrawal. Some
youths may be struggling with chemical abuse and/or dependency as a secondary
diagnosis. The Pavilion is also dedicated to the development of specific
programming as needs require, e.g., sexual abuse, chemical dependency
and eating disorder programming. Flexible programming of this sort will
utilize highly trained staff and community resources, as needed.
